Delaying prayer in severe heat

(357) bukhari:536ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh > Sufyān > al-Zuhrī > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "When the heat becomes intense, delay the prayer until it is cooler, for the intensity of heat is from the raging heat of Jahannam. The Fire complained to its Lord and said: O Lord, one part of me has consumed another. So He permitted it two breaths: a breath in the winter and a breath in the summer. That is the most intense heat you experience, and the most intense bitter cold you experience."

(358) bukhari:535Ibn Bashhār > Ghundar > Shuʿbah > al-Muhājir Abū al-Ḥasan > Zayd b. Wahb > Abū Dhar

The Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) of the Prophet ﷺ pronounced the Adhan (call) for the Zuhr prayer but the Prophet said, "Let it be cooler, let it be cooler." Or said, 'Wait, wait, because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. In severe hot weather, pray when it becomes (a bit) cooler and the shadows of hillocks appear."
