Dua for healing the sick

(1414) bukhari:5675Mūsá b. Ismāʿīl > Abū ʿAwānah > Manṣūr > Ibrāhīm > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

Whenever Messenger of Allah ﷺ paid a visit to a patient, or a patient was brought to him, he used to invoke Allah, saying,

adhhibi al-baʾsa, rabb al-nās, ishfi wa-anta al-shāfī, lā shifāʾa illā shifāʾuka, shifāʾan lā yughādiru saqaman

"Take away the disease, O the Lord of the people! Cure him as You are the One Who cures. There is no cure but Yours, a cure that leaves no disease."

ʿAmr ibn Abī Qays and Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān said, from Manṣūr, from Ibrāhīm and Abū al-Ḍuḥā: “when a sick person is brought.” And Jarīr said, from Manṣūr, from Abū al-Ḍuḥā alone, and he said: “when he comes to a sick person.”
