33.55 Travel is a kind of torment, and it is recommended for the traveler to hasten back to his family after finishing his business

٣٣۔٥٥ باب السَّفَرِ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ تَعْجِيلِ الْمُسَافِرِ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ بَعْدَ قَضَاءِ شُغْلِهِ

(1251) bukhari:1804ʿAbdullāh b. Maslamah > Mālik > Suma > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Traveling is a kind of torture as it prevents one from eating, drinking and sleeping properly. So, when one's needs are fulfilled, one should return quickly to one's family."  

(١٢٥١) البخاري:١٨٠٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ السَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ يَمْنَعُ أَحَدَكُمْ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ وَنَوْمَهُ فَإِذَا قَضَى نَهْمَتَهُ فَلْيُعَجِّلْ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ
