33.38 The virtue of helping the warrior who is fighting in the cause of Allah with mounts etc., and looking after his family in his absence

٣٣۔٣٨ باب فَضْلِ إِعَانَةِ الْغَازِي فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِمَرْكُوبٍ وَغَيْرِهِ وَخِلاَفَتِهِ فِي أَهْلِهِ بِخَيْرٍ

One who enables a soldier to fight in the path of Allah is like the one who fought

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever equips a fighter in the path of Allah has indeed fought, and whoever looks after the family of a fighter in the path of Allah in a good manner has ˹also˺ indeed fought.”

(١٢٣٩) البخاري:٢٨٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا، وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ غَزَا».
