ibnmajah:535 – [Chain 1] ʿAlī b. Muḥammad > Wakīʿ [Chain 2] Isḥāq b. Manṣūr > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Misʿar > Wāṣil al-Aḥdab > Abū Wāʾil > Ḥudhayfah

"The Prophet came out and met me when I was sexually impure, so I kept away from him. Then I had a bath and came to him. He said: 'What is the matter with you?' I said: 'I was sexually impure.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Muslim does not become impure.'"  

ابن ماجة:٥٣٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الأَحْدَبِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلَقِيَنِي وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ فَحِدْتُ عَنْهُ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَقَالَ مَا لَكَ قُلْتُ كُنْتُ جُنُبًا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لاَ يَنْجُسُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ happened to meet him and he was (sexually) defiled, and he slipped away and took a bath and then came and said: I was (sexually) defiled. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) remarked: A Muslim is never defiled.  

مسلم:٣٧٢ – وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ
