ibnmajah:3446ʿAlī b. Abū al-Khaṣīb > Wakīʿ > Ayman b. Nābil > Āmraʾah from Quraysh Yuqāl Lahā Kaltham > ʿĀʾishah

“You should eat the beneficial thing that is unpleasant to eat: Talbinah,” meaning broth. If any member of the family of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sick, the cooking pot would remain on the fire until one of two things happened, either the person recovered or died.  

ابن ماجة:٣٤٤٦حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي الْخَصِيبِ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ نَابِلٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يُقَالَ لَهَا كَلْثَمُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَغِيضِ النَّافِعِ التَّلْبِينَةِ يَعْنِي الْحَسَاءَ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ لَمْ تَزَلِ الْبُرْمَةُ عَلَى النَّارِ حَتَّى يَنْتَهِيَ أَحَدُ طَرَفَيْهِ يَعْنِي يَبْرَأُ أَوْ يَمُوتُ

أحمد:٢٥٠٦٦حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Upon you is to use al-talbineh, the beneficial plant. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it surely washes the inside of one of you as water washes the dirt off the face." She said: "And when anyone among his family complained, the barmah (a type of medicine) would continuously be put on the fire until one of his limbs was affected, either death or life."  

الحاكم:٨٢٤٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ نَابِلٍ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَغِيضِ النَّافِعِ التَّلْبِينَةُ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَغْسِلُ الْوَسَخَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ بِالْمَاءِ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ لَمْ تَزَلِ الْبُرْمَةُ عَلَى النَّارِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ عَلَى أَحَدِ طَرَفَيْهِ إِمَّا مَوْتٌ أَوْ حَيَاةٌ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري
