ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ إِخْرَاجِ النَّاسِ أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيَّ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةَ

ibnhibban:6668 – Abū Yaʿlá > ʿAbd al-Aʿlá b. Ḥammād > Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān > Dāwud b. Abū Hind > Abū Ḥarb b. Abū al-Aswad al-Dīlī from his uncle > Abū Dhar > Atānī Nabī Allāh ﷺ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to me while I was sleeping in the mosque in Medina. He hit me with his foot and said, "Do you not see yourself sleeping here?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, my eyes overpowered me." He said, "So what will you do if you are expelled from here?" I said, "What can I do, O Prophet of Allah, shall I strike them with my sword?" Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to what is better for you than that and more correct in guidance? You listen to them, obey them, and follow them wherever they guide you."  

ابن حبّان:٦٦٦٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

أَتَانِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَضَرَبَنِي بِرِجْلِهِ وَقَالَ «أَلَا أَرَاكَ نَائِمًا فِيهِ»؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَلَبَتْنِي عَيْنِي قَالَ «فَكَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ إِذَا أُخْرِجْتَ مِنْهُ»؟ قُلْتُ مَا أَصْنَعُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَضْرِبُ بِسَيْفِي؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَأَقْرَبُ رُشْدًا؟ تَسْمَعُ وَتُطِيعُ وَتَنْسَاقُ لَهُمْ حَيْثُ سَاقُوكَ»

I said, "What else can I do, O Prophet of Allah, except fight with my sword?" So, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Shouldn't I show you what is better for you than that and closer to guidance? Listen and obey, and follow them wherever they lead you."  

أحمد:٢١٣٨٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ دَاوُدَ بْنَ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ
