ذِكْرُ إِنْكَارِ الصَّحَابَةِ قُلُوبَهُمْ عِنْدَ دَفْنِ صَفِيِّ اللَّهِ ﷺ
“On the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Al-Madinah, everything was lit up, and on the day when he died, everything went dark, and no sooner had we dusted off our hands (after burying him) but we felt that our hearts had changed.”* (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1631)
«لَمَّا كَانَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِيهِ الْمَدِينَةَ أَضَاءَ مِنْهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ أَظْلَمَ مِنْهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ وَمَا نَفَضْنَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْأَيْدِي وَإِنَّا لَفِي دَفْنِهِ حَتَّى أَنْكَرْنَا قُلُوبَنَا»
