[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver his sermon on Fridays leaning against a wooden pillar. When the number of people increased, he said, "Build a pulpit for me." So they built him a pulpit with two steps. When he stood on the pulpit to deliver the sermon, the wooden pillar longed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Anas said, "I was in the mosque and I heard the wooden pillar longing like a young child until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came down to it and embraced it, and it became calm." Hasan used to cry when he narrated this Hadith and then say, "O servants of Allah! The wooden pillar longs eagerly for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ out of its desire for his place near Allah. And you are the ones who are most deserving to long for meeting him."

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give the sermon on Fridays, he would lean his back against a post. But when the crowd increased, he said, "Build a pulpit for me so that they can hear me." So they built for him two platforms, and he moved from the post to the pulpit. Anas ibn Malik informed me that he heard the post making a moaning sound, as if it was missing its occupant. He said it continued to moan until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stepped down from the pulpit and embraced it, after which it became quiet.
