ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْحَالَةَ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَاهَا كَانَتِ اخْتِيَارًا مِنَ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ لِأَهْلِهِ، دُونَ أَنْ تَكُونَ تِلْكَ حَالَةً اضْطِرَارِيَّةً

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never had his fill of barley bread for three consecutive days until he passed away.  

ابن حبّان:٦٣٤٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

«مَا أَشْبَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَهُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ الْبُرِّ حَتَّى فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا»

By Him in Whose Hand is my life and Ibn 'Abbad also said: By One in Whose hand is the life of Abu Huraira, Messenger of Allah ﷺ could not afford to provide adequate food to his family which could (fill their bellies) with bread and wheat for three days successively until he left the world.

"Neither the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor his family, ate their fill of wheat bread for three consecutive days until he parted the world."
