ذِكْرُ تَخْفِيفِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا قِرَاءَةَ الزَّبُورِ عَلَى دَاوُدَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "The recitation of the Quran was lightened for Prophet David, so he would command his animal to be saddled, and he would finish reciting the Psalms before his animal was saddled."

ابن حبّان:٦٢٢٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «خُفِّفَ عَلَى دَاوُدَ الْقِرَاءَةُ فَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِدَابَّتِهِ أَنْ تُسْرَجَ فَيَفْرَغُ مِنْ قِرَاءَةِ الزَّبُورِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُسْرَجَ دَابَّتُهُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The recitation of Psalms (David's Qur'an) was made light and easy for David that he used to have his ridding animal be saddled while he would finish the recitation before the servant had saddled it."

البخاري:٤٧١٣ – حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

ahmad:8160 –

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said that the recitation was made easy for Dawud, ﷺ , so he would command his mount to be saddled and would recite the Qur'an before his mount was saddled, and he would not eat except from the work of his own hands.

أحمد:٨١٦٠ –

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خُفِّفَتْ عَلَى دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الْقِرَاءَةُ فَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِدَابَّتِهِ تُسْرَجُ فَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُسْرَجَ دَابَّتُهُ وَكَانَ لَا يَأْكُلُ إِلَّا مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدَيْهِ
