ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ نَفْيِ جَوَازِ قَوْلِ الْمَرْءِ بِالْعَدْوَى

ibnhibban:6118al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb > Ibrāhīm b. Bashhār > Sufyān > ʿUmārah b. al-Qaʿqāʿ > Abū Zurʿah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is neither 'adwaa (the spreading of disease without the permission of Allah) nor tiyarah (superstitious belief in bad omens). However, a camel may be infected by a disease and infect a hundred camels. So who is the primary cause of infection?"  

ابن حبّان:٦١١٨أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ جَرَبِ بَعِيرٌ وَأَجْرَبَ مِائَةً فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ؟ »
