[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever carries my message to Caesar, he will have Paradise." A man from the people asked, "Even if I am not killed?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Even if you are not killed." So the man set off and met with Caesar while he was arriving at Jerusalem with a royal robe that no one else could walk on. He threw the message onto the robe and stepped aside. When Caesar reached the message, he picked it up and called the chief of the Ghassanid tribe to read it for him. He said, "I have no knowledge about this book, except the same knowledge as you." Caesar then called out, "Who is the companion of this book?" The man came forward and said, "When I arrive, come to me." When he arrived, he went to him and Caesar ordered the doors of his palace to be closed. Then he ordered the caller to announce that Caesar has followed Muhammad ﷺ and left Christianity. His soldiers turned to Islam and they were armed until they surrounded his palace. Caesar said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "You see that I am afraid for my kingdom." Then he ordered the caller to announce that Caesar has accepted Islam and sent him dinars. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ read the letter, he said, "The enemy of Allah has lied. He is not a Muslim and he is still a Christian." Then he divided the dinars (among the Muslims).

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me to Caesar, the ruler of the Romans, with a letter. So I said, "Get permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So they took me to Caesar and it was said to him, "There is a man at the door who claims to be the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ Messenger." They became alarmed at this, so he said, "Let him in." So I was brought in to him and he had his bishops with him. So I gave him the letter and he began to read it. In it was written, "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Caesar, the ruler of the Romans." Then his red-faced cousin, who was a Christian monk, knelt down and said to him, "Do not read this letter today, for today it has started with something that you may dislike." The letter was read until the end, and then he told them to go out. Then he sent for me and I went in to him and he asked me and I told him. Then he sent for the bishops and gathered them together. When he read the letter, the bishop said, "By Allah, this is the same one whom Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) gave glad tidings of. We have been waiting for him." Caesar said, "What do you command me to do?" He said, "As for me, I believe in him and I follow him." Caesar said, "I know that he is the Prophet, but if I were to follow him, my kingdom would be taken away and I would be killed by the Romans."
