ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِلْحَاجِّ بَعْثَ الْهَدْيِ وَسَوْقَهَا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ

ibnhibban:3999 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. Qutaybah > Yazīd b. Mawhab > al-Layth > Abū al-Zubayr

That when they were present with the Messenger of Allah in Al-Madinah, he sent the Hadi, and whoever wanted to enter Ihram did so, and whoever did not want to, did not. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2792)   

ابن حبّان:٣٩٩٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ

عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا حَاضِرِينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْمَدِينَةِ «يَبْعَثُ بِالْهَدْيِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ مِنَّا أَخَّرَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ»
