ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ لِلْقَائِمِ مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ سَاهِيًا

ibnhibban:2676 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Junayd > Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > Bakr b. Muḍar > Jaʿfar b. Rabīʿah > al-Aʿraj > ʿAbdullāh b. Mālik b. Buḥaynah

Once Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the Zuhr prayer and got up (after the prostrations of the second rakʿa) although he should have sat (for the Tashahhud). So at the end of the prayer, he prostrated twice while sitting (prostrations of Sahu). (Using translation from Bukhārī 830)  

ابن حبّان:٢٦٧٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ قَالَ

«صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ فَقَامَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ»
