ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ خَيْرَ الْبِقَاعِ فِي الدُّنْيَا الْمَسَاجِدُ

[Machine] A man asked the Prophet PBUH, "Which places are the worst?" He replied, "I do not know until I ask Gabriel." So he asked Gabriel, who said, "I do not know until I ask Michael." Then he came back and said, "The best places are the mosques, and the worst places are the markets."  

ابن حبّان:١٥٩٩أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَيُّ الْبِقَاعِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ «لَا أَدْرِي حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ جِبْرِيلَ» فَسَأَلَ جِبْرِيلَ فَقَالَ لَا أَدْرِي حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ مِيكَائِيلَ فَجَاءَ فَقَالَ «خَيْرُ الْبِقَاعِ الْمَسَاجِدُ وَشَرُّهَا الْأَسْوَاقُ»
