ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ بِإِدْرَاكِ الصَّلَاةِ لِلْمُدْرِكِ رَكْعَةً مِنْهَا

ibnhibban:1483 – al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb al-Jumaḥī > al-Qaʿnabī > Mālik > Ibn Shihāb > Abū Salamah > Abū Hurayrah

If anyone obtains a rak'ah in the prayer (along with the imam), he has obtained the whole prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1121)

ابن حبّان:١٤٨٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ»

He who finds a rak'ah of the prayer, he in fact finds the prayer.

مسلم:٦٠٧a – وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلاَةَ

malik:1-15 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > Ibn Shihāb > Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Abū Hurayrah

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abdar-Rahman from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said "Whoever catches a raka of the prayer has caught the prayer."

مالك:١-١٥ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلاَةَ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever catches one Rak’ah of prayer, he has caught it.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1122)
