We were sitting with ‘Ali ؓ and he recited this verse: “The Day We shall gather the Muttaqoon (the pious) unto the Most Gracious (Allah), like a delegation (presented before a king for honour)” [Maryam 19:85] He said: No, by Allah they will not be gathered on their feet, the delegation will never be gathered on their feet. Rather (they will be gathered) on she-camels the like of which mankind has never seen, on which are sadales of gold. They will ride them until they knock at the gates of Paradise. عَنْ عَلِيٍّ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا} [مريم 85] قَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا يُحْشَرُ الْوَفْدُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَلَا يُسَاقُونَ سَوْقًا وَلَكِنَّهُمْ يُؤْتَوْنَ بِنُوقٍ لَمْ تَرَ الْخَلَائِقُ مِثْلَهَا عَلَيْهَا رَحْلُ الذَّهَبِ وَأَزِمَّتُهَا الزَّبَرْجَدُ فَيَرْكَبُونَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى يَضْرِبُوا أَبْوَابَ الْجَنَّةِ «الْحَدِيثُ  

"عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَعْد قَالَ: كنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ عَلِىٍّ فَقَرَأ هَذِهِ الآيةَ {يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا} قال: لاَ، وَاللهِ مَا عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ، وَلاَ يُحْشَر

الْوَفْدُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ، وَلاَ يُسَاقُونَ سَوْقًا، وَلَكِنِّهُمْ يُؤْتَوْن بِنُوقٍ مِنْ نُوقِ الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ الْخَلاَئِقُ إِلَى مثْلِهَا، عَلَيْهَا رِحَالُ الذَّهَب، وَأَزِمَّتهَا الزَّبرْجَدُ، فَيَرْكَبُون علَيْهَا حَتَّى يَضْربُوا أَبْوَابَ الْجَنَّةِ".
