[Machine] "And when she migrated to the Prophet ﷺ, she came to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I used to perform magical spells during the pre-Islamic period, and I thought of presenting it to you.' He said, 'Present it.' So she presented it to him, and among it was the spell of the ant. He said, 'Perform it and teach it to Hafsah. In the name of Allah, the crosses and knots break when one recites it, and it does not harm anyone. O Allah, remove the affliction, O Lord of the people.' He said, 'Recite it seven times on a qarn karm (type of tree branch) and place it in a clean spot. Then, rub it on a stone and anoint it on the locus.' Ibn Ma'een was asked about Uthman, but he did not recognize him."  

الحاكم:٦٨٩٠حَدَّثَنَا بِالْحَدِيثِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ أَبُو عَمْرِو مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَطَرٍ الزَّاهِدُ الْعَدْلُ إِمْلَاءً سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَثَلَاثِ مِائَةٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْهَرَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الْعَدَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ الشِّفَاءِ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَرْقِي بِرُقًى فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ

وَأَنَّهَا لَمَّا هَاجَرَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَدِمَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَرْقِي بِرُقًى فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَنْ أَعْرِضَهَا عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ «اعْرِضِيهَا» فَعَرَضَتْهَا عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَتْ مِنْهَا رُقْيَةُ النَّمْلَةِ فَقَالَ ارْقِي بِهَا وَعَلِّمِيهَا حَفْصَةَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ صَلُوبٌ حِينَ يَعُودُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهَا وَلَا تَضُرُّ أَحَدًا اللَّهُمَّ اكْشِفِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ قَالَ «تَرْقِي بِهَا عَلَى عُودِ كَرْمٍ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَتَضَعُهُ مَكَانًا نَظِيفًا ثُمَّ تُدَلِّكُهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ وَتَطْلِيهِ عَلَى النَّوْرَةِ» سئل ابن معين عن عثمان فلم يعرفه
