[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ proposed to his uncle Abu Talib's daughter, Umm Hani, before receiving revelation. He proposed her with Hubayrah ibn Abi Wahb present, and Hubayrah married her. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Umar, you married Hubayrah and left me!" Umar replied, "O nephew, I arranged their marriage and the generous person accommodates the generous. Then Umm Hani embraced Islam, and Islam separated her from Hubayrah. The Prophet ﷺ proposed to her himself, and she said, "By Allah, I used to love you during the time of ignorance, so how can I not love you in Islam? However, I am a woman prone to headaches, and I do not want you to be bothered by my illness."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ إِلَى عَمِّهِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَخَطَبَهَا مَعَهُ هُبَيْرَةُ بْنُ أَبِي وَهْبٍ فَزَوَّجَهَا هُبَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَا عُمَرُ زَوَّجْتَ هُبَيْرَةَ وَتَرَكْتَنِي» فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَنَا صَاهَرْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَالْكَرِيمُ يُكَافِئُ الْكَرِيمَ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَتْ فَفَرَّقَ الْإِسْلَامُ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ هُبَيْرَةَ فَخَطَبَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى نَفْسِهَا فَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَكَيْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ لَكِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ مُصْبِيَةٌ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُؤْذُوكَ الْحَدِيثَحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص
