[Machine] "You spoke the truth, O my son, but I bear witness that his father was the most beloved person to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than your father, and he (his father) was more beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than you."

This is an authentic narration, and they did not exclude it. So, if someone assumes that this virtue is for Usama, then let him know that I only mentioned this hadith for two reasons. The first reason is the testimony of 'Umar for his son that Usama did not witness a scene except that I witnessed it, and this is because of the virtues of Ibn 'Umar. The second reason is that the two sheikhs (referring to Bukhari and Muslim) have mentioned most of the virtues of Ibn 'Umar based on their conditions from the chains of narrators. So, I strive to acquire an authentic report that they did not mention in their books."  

الحاكم:٦٣٦٧أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ لَمَّا فَرَضَ عُمَرُ لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ثَلَاثَةَ آلَافٍ وَفَرَضَ لِي أَلْفَيْنِ وَخَمْسَ مِائَةٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَتِ لِمَ تَفْرِضُ لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ثَلَاثَةَ آلَافٍ وَتَفْرِضُ لِي أَلْفَيْنِ وَخَمْسَ مِائَةٍ؟ وَاللَّهِ مَا شَهِدَ أُسَامَةُ مَشْهَدًا غِبْتُ عَنْهُ وَلَا شَهِدَ أَبُوهُ مَشْهَدًا غَابَ عَنْهُ أَبِي قَالَ

«صَدَقْتَ يَا بُنَيَّ وَلَكِنِّي أَشْهَدُ لَأَبُوهُ كَانَ أَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَبِيكَ وَلَهُوَ أَحَبُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْكَ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ فَإِنْ تَوَهَّمَ مُتَوَهِّمٌ أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْفَضِيلَةَ لِأُسَامَةَ فَلْيَعْلَمْ أَنِّي إِنَّمَا خَرَّجْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ لِأَمْرَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا شَهَادَةُ عُمَرَ لِابْنِهِ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْهَدْ أُسَامَةُ مَشْهَدًا إِلَّا شَهِدْتُهُ وَهَذِهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ فَضَائِلِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَالثَّانِي أَنَّ الشَّيْخَيْنِ قَدْ خَرَّجَا أَكْثَرَ مَا رُوِيَ مِنْ فَضَائِلِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا مِنَ الْمَسَانِيدِ فَأَنَا أَجْتَهِدُ فِي تَحْصِيلِ خَبَرِ مُسْنَدٍ صَحِيحٍ لَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
