[Machine] Ziyad sent me to Hujr bin 'Adi, and it is said [that he was known as] Ibn al-Adbar. He refused to come to him. Then he sent me again a second time, and he still refused to come to him. He [Ziyad] said, so he sent to him: "I warn you not to embark on the ends of affairs, for those who embarked on their beginnings have perished."

Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his "Al-Talkhis."
