[Machine] "What is this, O Abu Abdullah?" So the Commander of the Believers said, "I would like you to see from me what remains." Umar did not forbid him from doing that and did not blame him for it. Umar ibn Al-Khattab died at the age of around one hundred years. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about summarizing it.  

الحاكم:٥٩١٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَأَى عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ وَقَدْ سَوَّدَ شَيْبَهُ فَهُوَ مِثْلُ جَنَاحِ الْغُرَابِ فَقَالَ

«مَا هَذَا يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ؟» فَقَالَ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَرَى فِيَّ بَقِيَّةً فَلَمْ يَنْهَهُ عُمَرُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَلَمْ يَعِبْهُ عَلَيْهِ وَتُوُفِّيَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ وَسِنُّهُ نَحْوُ مِنْ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
