[Machine] "Amr ibn al-Aas ibn Wa'il came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year eight. He was known as Abu Abdullah and he passed away in Egypt on the day of Eid in the year forty-two, and he was seventy years old."  

الحاكم:٥٩١١فَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ

«عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ بْنُ وَائِلٍ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَتُوُفِّيَ بِمِصْرَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَهُوَ وَالٍ عَلَيْهَا»
