[Machine] Khabbab ibn Al-Arat was the freed slave of Thabit ibn Um Ammar and Thabit was the freed slave of Al-Akhnas ibn Sharik Al-Thaqafi. It is also said that Khabbab was the freed slave of Uthbah ibn Ghazwan.
