[Machine] "She had poured her soul into it until they all stood up and glorified him. Then Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Uqba, his wife, came out of the mosque seeking assistance in what she was commanded to do of patience and prayer. They waited for an hour while he was in a state of unconsciousness. Then he regained consciousness and the first thing he spoke was to say takbeer (Allahu Akbar). The people of the household and those following them also said takbeer. Then he asked them, 'Did I become unconscious suddenly?' They replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'You have spoken the truth.' He said, 'Surely, two men rushed towards me while I was unconscious. One of them was harsh and rude. They told me to go with them to the Almighty, the All-Knowing. He told them to send me back, for surely he is among those whom Allah has written happiness and forgiveness for in the wombs of their mothers, and that his son will enjoy him as long as Allah wills.' After that, he lived for a month and then passed away. Uthman established the Hajj pilgrimage during his reign." (Narrated by Al-Dhahabi in Al-Talkhis)

[Machine] About his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqba, she was one of the first emigrants. In relation to the saying of Allah Almighty, "Seek help through patience and prayer" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:45), she said that Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf fell unconscious and they thought he had passed away, so his wife Umm Kulthum went to the mosque seeking help through what she was commanded, patience and prayer. When he regained consciousness, he asked, "Did I pass out?" They answered, "Yes." He said, "You spoke the truth, for two angels came to me and told me to go and meet the trustworthy dignitary." Another angel said, "Return him, for this is one of those whom you have written happiness for, and his descendants will enjoy him as long as Allah wills." After that, he lived for a month and then passed away.
