[Machine] About him, when the wounds increased, Abu 'Ubaidah sought him and killed him. Therefore, Allah revealed this verse regarding him when he killed his father: "You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons." (Surah Al-Mujadila, verse 22). Al-Dhahabi remained silent about him in summarizing.  

الحاكم:٥١٥٢ – فَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ قَالَ جَعَلَ أَبُو أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ ينْصِبُ الْأَلَّ لِأَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَجَعَلَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ يَحِيدُ

عَنْهُ فَلَمَّا أَكْثَرَ الْجِرَاحَ قَصَدَهُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِيهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ حِينَ قَتَلَ أَبَاهُ {لَا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ يُوَادُّونَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُوا آبَاءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ} [المجادلة 22] سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
