[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a military expedition to Mu'tah, and Zaid bin Haritha fought under the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the month of Jumada al-Ula in the year eight. He fought until he fell in the battlefield, and then Ja'far bin Abi Talib took the banner from him."

الحاكم:٤٩٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ

«بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعْثًا إِلَى مُؤْتَةَ فَقَاتَلَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ بِرَايَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي جُمَادَى الْأُولَى سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ حَتَّى شَاطَ فِي رِمَاحِ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
