[Machine] Uthman was buried and then he was pledged allegiance on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ openly. Talhah was the first to pledge allegiance to him, he said, "This allegiance will not be broken."  

الحاكم:٤٥٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحَاكِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَافِظُ إِمْلَاءً فِي شَعْبَانَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعِ مِائَةٍ قَالَ اخْتَلَفَتِ الرِّوَايَاتُ فِي وَقْتِهِ فَقِيلَ أَنَّهُ بُويِعَ بَعْدَ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ وَقِيلَ بَعْدَ خَمْسٍ وَقِيلَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ وَقِيلَ بُويِعَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَقِيلَ بُويِعَ عُقَيْبَ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ فِي دَارِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَحَدِ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ مَبْذُولٍ وَأَصَحُّ الرِّوَايَاتِ أَنَّهُ امْتَنَعَ عَنِ الْبَيْعَةِ إِلَى
