[Machine] "Yahya, the son of Zakaria, was a noble and chaste man. He would not come near women nor desire them. He was a young man with a handsome face and appearance, his wings were delicate, his hair was short, his fingers were long, and he had a prominent nose and thick eyebrows. His voice was gentle, he worshipped Allah abundantly, and he was strong in his obedience to God."  

الحاكم:٤١٥٠أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَحْمَسِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُدْرِكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ كَعْبٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا سَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا وَكَانَ لَا يَقْرَبُ النِّسَاءَ وَلَا يَشْتَهِيهِنَّ وَكَانَ شَابًّا حَسَنَ الْوَجْهِ وَالصُّورَةِ لَيَّنَ الْجَنَاحِ قَلِيلَ الشَّعْرِ قَصِيرَ الْأَصَابِعِ طَوِيلَ الْأَنْفِ أَقْرَنَ الْحَاجِبَيْنِ دَقِيقَ الصَّوْتِ كَثِيرَ الْعِبَادَةِ قَوِيًّا فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ»
