Caution: Translations of Quran and Ḥadīth may lead to possible misapplications and misinterpretations. This site is intended for students of sacred knowledge that are proficient in comprehending classical Arabic and have a strong foundation in Islamic sciences. Also note that religious injunctions rely on several aspects beyond what one may glean through reading individual aḥādīth.

[Machine] Then was born to Ya'qub (Jacob) Yusuf (Joseph), the truthful one whom Allah chose, honored, and divided for him two-thirds of beauty, and divided between his servants one-third. He resembled Adam on the day Allah created him, formed him, and blew into him from His spirit before disobedience befell him. When Adam disobeyed, the light, radiance, and beauty were removed from him. Allah had given Adam beauty, radiance, and light on the day He created him, but when he committed what he did, that was removed from him. Then Allah bestowed upon Adam one-third of beauty along with repentance, which he repented for. Then Allah gave Yusuf beauty, radiance, and light, which He removed from Adam when he sinned. That is because Allah loved to show His servants that He is capable of whatever He wills. And Allah gave Yusuf beauty and radiance that He did not give to anyone else from the people. Then Allah granted him knowledge of interpreting dreams, and he would inform of the matter he saw in his dream before it happens. Allah taught him as He taught Adam all the names. And when he smiled, you could see the light in his molars, and when he spoke, you could see the radiance of light in his speech, and it would blaze with heat between his two lips. This is a summarized version of the stories of Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, based on authentic narrations. If I were to include the marvels of Wahb bin Munabbih and Abu Abdullah Al-Waqidi, the translation would be prolonged, according to the narration of Samrah from Ka'ab and the chain of narration.
