[Machine] "And as for the tribes, they are the sons of Jacob, Joseph and Benjamin, and Reuben and Judah, and Simeon and Levi, and Dan and Naphtali, and Gad and Asher, and Issachar and Zebulun. They were twelve men whom Allah multiplied into twelve tribes. Only Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, knows their lineage. Allah, the Most High, said, 'And We divided them into twelve tribes [as distinct] nations.' [Quran 7:160]"  

وَأَمَّا الْأَسْبَاطُ فَهُمْ بَنُو يَعْقُوبَ يُوسُفُ وَبِنْيَامِينَ وَرُوبِيلُ وَيَهُوذَا وَشَمْعُونُ وَلَاوِي وَدَانُ وَفَهَاتُ فَكَانُوا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ رَجُلًا نَشَرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ سِبْطًا لَا يَعْلَمُ أَنْسَابَهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ﷻ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى {وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمُ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ أَسْبَاطًا أُمَمًا} [الأعراف 160]
