[Machine] He (Qatadah) heard that Allah sent the Prophet Shuayb ﷺ to two tribes - the people of Madyan and the people of Aikah. Aikah was a valley with twisted trees. When Allah intended to punish them, He sent upon them a severe heat and raised over them a cloud of punishment, like a thundercloud. When it approached them, they came out, hoping for its coolness. However, when they were underneath it, it rained upon them. This is the saying of Allah Almighty: "So He seized them with punishment of the Day of the Overhanging Cloud" [Surah Ash-Shu'ara, 189]. Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about summarizing this.
