“Lest they become as those who received the Scripture before, and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were rebellious.” [57:16] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4192)   

الحاكم:٣٧٨٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ الْبَزَّارُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ أَنَّ عَامِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ «لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَبَيْنَ

أَنْ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فَعَاتَبَهُمُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَرْبَعَ سِنِينَ (وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ) إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
