hakim:3486Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Zāhid al-Aṣbahānī > Muḥammad b. Sābiq > Mālik b. Mighwal > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Saʿīd b. Wahb > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is the person who commits adultery, steals, and drinks alcohol, but still fears Allah Almighty, considered righteous?" He said, "No, but the person who fasts, prays, and gives charity, and still fears Allah Almighty, is considered righteous."  

الحاكم:٣٤٨٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ ﷻ {الَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ} [المؤمنون 60] أَهُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَزْنِي وَيَسْرِقُ وَيَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَهُوَ مَعَ ذَلِكَ يَخَافُ اللَّهَ ﷻ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنَّهُ الرَّجُلُ يَصُومُ وَيُصَلِّي وَيَتَصَدَّقُ وَهُوَ مَعَ ذَلِكَ يَخَافُ اللَّهَ ﷻ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, ‘And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear.” [23:60] Is this the one who commits adultery, steals and drinks alcohol?’ He said: ‘No, O daughter of Abu Bakr’ – O daughter of Siddiq – rather it is a man who fasts and gives charity and prays, but he fears that those will not be accepted from him.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4198)  

أحمد:٢٥٧٠٥حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آَتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَهُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَزْنِي وَيَسْرِقُ وَيَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ؟ قَالَ لَا يَا بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَوْ لَا يَا بِنْتَ الصِّدِّيقِ وَلَكِنَّهُ الرَّجُلُ يَصُومُ وَيُصَلِّي وَيَتَصَدَّقُ وَهُوَ يَخَافُ أَنْ لَا يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ

[Machine] She said, "O Messenger of Allah, regarding this verse: 'Those who give what they give, while their hearts are fearful and contented' (Surah Al-Mu'minun, 60), are they the ones who steal, commit adultery, and drink alcohol while fearing Allah?" He replied, "No, O daughter of Abu Bakr, O daughter of As-Siddiq. Rather, they are the ones who pray, fast, and give charity while fearing Allah."
