[Machine] "To see a man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and for him to speak to me about the Khawarij, I met Abu Barzah on the day of Arafah among a group of his companions, so I said: 'O Abu Barzah, tell us something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the Khawarij.' He said: 'I will inform you of something that my ears heard and my eyes saw. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given some dinars from a certain land and he used to distribute them. He had a man by his side who was dark-skinned with thick hair and was wearing two white garments with signs of prostration between his eyes. He came close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from his front, but the Prophet did not give him anything. Then he approached him from his left side, but the Prophet did not give him anything. Then he approached him from his back, and he said: "By Allah, O Muhammad, you have not been fair in your distribution today." This made the Prophet ﷺ angry, and he said: "You will not find any other person after me who is more just towards you." He repeated this statement three times, and then he said: "A group will emerge from the east, reciting the Quran, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through its target, and then they will not return to it." The Prophet ﷺ placed his hand on his chest and said: "They have the mark of a fork on their forehead; they will continue to emerge until the last of them appears. So when you see them, then kill them." Hammād repeated this statement three times, saying, "They are the worst of creation and creatures." Then he added, "They will not return to it."

Then he said: "A people will come at the end of time; as if he is one of them, reciting the Qur'an without it passing beyond their throats. They will go through Islam just as the arrow goes through the target. Their distinction will be shaving. They will not cease to appear until the last of them comes with Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. So when you meet them, then kill them, they are the worst of created beings."

He became extremely angry and said, 'By Allah! After me, you will not find anyone more just to you than me, three times over.' Then he said, 'There will come out from the east, men whose appearance is similar to theirs. They recite the Quran but it does not go beyond their throats. They pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its target, then they do not return. Their characteristic is shaving their heads.
