Saʿīd al-Ḥabaṭī from my father > Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim > Abū Jaʿfar al-Madanī / al-Khaṭmī > Abū Umāmah b. Sahl b. Ḥunayf from his uncle ʿUthmān b. Ḥunayf

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and a blind man came to him, complaining about the loss of his eyesight. The blind man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I do not have a guide and it has become difficult for me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go to the pool, perform ablution, then pray two units of prayer. After that, say: 'O Allah, I ask You and turn to You through Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , the Prophet of Mercy. O Muhammad, I turn to Allah through you, so that Allah may restore my eyesight.' O Allah, intercede for him and intercede for me." Uthman said, "By Allah, we did not separate and the conversation did not take long until the man entered, as if he had never had any sight problems."  

الحاكم:١٩٣٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الدَّبَّاسُ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الصَّائِغُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْحَبَطِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدَنِيِّ وَهُوَ الْخَطْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرٌ فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ ذَهَابَ بَصَرِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ لِي قَائِدٌ وَقَدْ شَقَّ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ائْتِ الْمِيضَأَةَ فَتَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَيُجَلِّي لِي عَنْ بَصَرِي اللَّهُمَّ شَفِّعْهُ فِيَّ وَشَفِّعْنِي فِي نَفْسِي قَالَ عُثْمَانُ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا تَفَرَّقْنَا وَلَا طَالَ بِنَا الْحَدِيثُ حَتَّى دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ وَكَأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِهِ ضُرٌّ قَطُّ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَإِنَّمَا قَدَّمْتُ حَدِيثَ عَوْنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ لِأَنَّ مِنْ رَسْمِنَا أَنْ نُقَدِّمَ الْعَالِيَ مِنَ الْأَسَانِيدِ»
