[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated on what was recited from Malik, from Sumayy, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, from Abu Bakr ibn Abdur-Rahman, from some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanding the people during his travel in the year of conquest, saying: "Prepare yourselves for your enemy."  

الحاكم:١٥٧٩فَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي نَصْرٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ النَّاسَ فِي سَفَرِهِ بِالْفِطْرِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَقَالَ «تَقَوَّوْا لِعَدُوِّكُمْ»

AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman reported on the authority of a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ: I saw the Prophet ﷺ commanding the people while he was travelling on the occasion of the conquest of Mecca not to observe fast. He said: Be strong for your enemy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted himself. Narrated AbuBakr: A man who narrated his tradition to me said: I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in al-Arj pouring water over his head while he was fasting, either because of thirst or because of heat.
