[Machine] About the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we were not satisfied until we traveled to the city and heard it directly from their mouths.  

الدارمي:٥٨٣أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ أنْبأنا أَبُو قَطَنٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي خَلْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ «إِنْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ الرِّوَايَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ

عَنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ نَرْضَ حَتَّى رَكِبْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَمِعْنَاهَا مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ»
