[Machine] A man bought a slave for nine hundred dirhams, then set him free without paying the price of the slave or leaving anything. Ali said, "The slave should work to pay off his price."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا اشْتَرَى عَبْدًا بِتِسْعِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَأَعْتَقَهُ وَلَمْ يَقْضِ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ «يَسْعَى الْعَبْدُ فِي ثَمَنِهِ»
