[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If Allah were to withhold rain from my nation for ten years and then send it down, a group from my nation would become disbelievers. They would say, 'It is due to the efforts of a fortunate individual.' It would be said to them, 'That individual is like a shining star known as Ad-Dabaran.'"  

الدارمي:٢٨٠٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ حَبَسَ اللَّهُ الْقَطْرَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي عَشْرَ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ أُنْزَلَهُ لَأَصْبَحَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِهَا كَافِرِينَ يَقُولُونَ هُوَ بِنَوْءِ مِجْدَحٍ يقَالَ الْمِجْدَحُ كَوْكَبٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ الدَّبَرَانُ

ibnhibban:6130 – Abū Khalīfah > Ibrāhīm b. Bashhār > Sufyān > ʿAmr b. Dīnār > ʿAttāb b. Ḥunayn > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If Allah (SWT) were to withhold rain from His slaves for five years and then send it, some of the people would become disbelievers, saying: "We have been given rain by the star of Al-Mijdah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1526)   

ابن حبّان:٦١٣٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَتَّابُ بْنُ حُنَيْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ أَمْسَكَ اللَّهُ الْقَطْرَ عَنِ النَّاسِ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَهُ لَأَصْبَحَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ بِهَا كَافِرِينَ يَقُولُونَ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ الْمِجْدَحِ»
