[Machine] I heard Al-Bara'a saying when this verse was revealed {Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees.} [Quran 4:95], the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Zaid and he brought a shoulder blade, then the Prophet ﷺ wrote it down. Ibn Umm Maktum, who was blind, complained about its harm, so the verse was revealed {Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives except for the disabled, Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind].} [Quran 4:95].
