bukhari:5137ʿAmr b. al-Rabīʿ b. Ṭāriq > al-Layth > Ibn Abū Mulaykah > Abū ʿAmr a freed slave of ʿĀʾishah > ʿĀʾishah

I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! A virgin feels shy." He said, "Her consent is (expressed by) her silence."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "The permission of a virgin is sought, and her silence is considered as her permission."

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْإِقْرَارَ الَّذِي وَصَفْنَا إِنَّمَا هُوَ الرِّضَى بِمَا سُئِلَتْ
