I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! A virgin feels shy." He said, "Her consent is (expressed by) her silence."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الْبِكْرَ تَسْتَحِي قَالَ رِضَاهَا صَمْتُهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "The permission of a virgin is sought, and her silence is considered as her permission."  

الدارمي:٢٢٣٥ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ أَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تُسْتَأْذَنُ الْبِكْرُ وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا»  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْإِقْرَارَ الَّذِي وَصَفْنَا إِنَّمَا هُوَ الرِّضَى بِمَا سُئِلَتْ
