The moon was split into two parts during the lifetime of the Prophet.  

البخاري:٣٦٣٨ – حَدَّثَنِي خَلَفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ

أَنَّ الْقَمَرَ انْشَقَّ فِي زَمَانِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

During the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ the moon was split (into two places).

أَنَّ الْقَمَرَ انْشَقَّ عَلَى زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ  

bukhari:4866 – Yaḥyá b. Bukayr > Bakr > Jaʿfar > ʿIrāk b. Mālik > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah b. Masʿūd > Ibn ʿAbbās

The moon was cleft asunder during the lifetime of the Prophet.  

البخاري:٤٨٦٦ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ فِي زَمَانِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ  

muslim:2803 – Mūsá b. Quraysh al-Tamīmī > Isḥāq b. Bakr b. Muḍar from my father > Jaʿfar b. Rabīʿah > ʿIrāk b. Mālik > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah b. Masʿūd > Ibn ʿAbbās

Ibn 'Abbas reported that the moon was split up during the lifetime of Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him).
