bukhari:2107Ṣadaqah > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Yaḥyá > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The buyer and the seller have the option to cancel or confirm the bargain before they separate from each other or if the sale is optional." Nafiʿ said, "Ibn ʿUmar used to separate quickly from the seller if he had bought a thing which he liked."  

البخاري:٢١٠٧حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمُتَبَايِعَيْنِ بِالْخِيَارِ فِي بَيْعِهِمَا مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا أَوْ يَكُونُ الْبَيْعُ خِيَارًا قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا اشْتَرَى شَيْئًا يُعْجِبُهُ فَارَقَ صَاحِبَهُ

"I heard Nafi narrating from Ibn 'Umar, form the Messenger of Allah 'the two parties to a transaction both have the choice so long as they have not separated unless they have chosen to conclude the transaction. " Nafi said: ''When 'Abdullah bought something he like, he would leave straightaway."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The two parties to a transaction have the option (of cancelling it) so long as they have not parted or there is a condition which gives the option to cancel.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 393)
