I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Shouldn't we participate in Holy battles and Jihad along with you?" He replied, "The best and the most superior Jihad (for women) is Hajj which is accepted by Allah." ʿAisha added: Ever since I heard that from Messenger of Allah ﷺ I have determined not to miss Hajj.  

البخاري:١٨٦١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ طَلْحَةَ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؓ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلاَ نَغْزُوا وَنُجَاهِدُ مَعَكُمْ فَقَالَ لَكُنَّ أَحْسَنُ الْجِهَادِ وَأَجْمَلُهُ الْحَجُّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلاَ أَدَعُ الْحَجَّ بَعْدَ إِذْ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

[Machine] I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not strive alongside you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Your best jihad and most excellent deed is performing the Hajj, a Hajj that is accepted." Aisha said, "So I will never abandon performing Hajj after hearing this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."  

أحمد:٢٤٤٩٧ – حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا نُجَاهِدُ مَعَكَ؟ فَقَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَكِ أَحْسَنُ الْجِهَادِ وَأَجْمَلُهُ الْحَجُّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلَا أَدَعُ الْحَجَّأَبَدًا بَعْدَ إذ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "However, the best form of jihad and the most excellent is performing the pilgrimage, a pilgrimage that is accepted (by Allah)." Aisha responded, "Then, I will never abandon performing the pilgrimage after I heard this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."  

البيهقي:٨٦١٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؓ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّا نَغْزُو وَنُجَاهِدُ مَعَكُمْ
