We performed Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and then the Qur'an was revealed (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ) and somebody said what he wished (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ) according his own opinion.  

البخاري:١٥٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُطَرِّفٌ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ ؓ قَالَ

تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ قَالَ رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ
