We performed Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ in the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and then the Qur'an was revealed (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ) and somebody said what he wished (regarding Hajj-at-Tamattuʿ) according his own opinion.  

البخاري:١٥٧١حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُطَرِّفٌ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ ؓ قَالَ

تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ قَالَ رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ

[Machine] We enjoyed (or benefited) with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and the Quran was revealed to him. So, let a man express his opinion freely as he wishes.
