٩٢۔٢٨ باب يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ

The breach in the barrier of Gog and Magog

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her one day in alarm, saying: "There is no god but Allah. Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Today an opening like this has been made in the barrier of Gog and Magog." He made a circle with his thumb and the finger next to it. Zaynab bint Jahsh said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us?" He said: "Yes, if wickedness becomes widespread."

البخاري:٧١٣٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ جَحْشٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا يَوْمًا فَزِعًا يَقُولُ: «لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ»، وَحَلَّقَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ الإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا. قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ ابْنَةُ جَحْشٍ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَفَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخُبْثُ».

The Prophet ﷺ said, "A hole has been opened in the dam of Gog and Magog." Wuhaib (the sub-narrator) made the number 90 (with his index finger and thumb).
