البزّار:١٠٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ نَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ نَسِيتُ اسْمَهُ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةُ

إِلَى أَبِيهِ فَانْطَلَقَ فَوَصَّلَ كَلَامًا ثُمَّ أَتَى سَعْدًا فَكَلَّمَهُ بِكَلَامٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ أَفْرَغْتَ مِنْ حَاجَتِكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أَبْعَدَ مِنْ حَاجَتِكَ مِنِّي الْآنَ وَلَا كُنْتُ أَزْهَدَ فِيكَ مِنِّي الْآنَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَكُونُ قَوْمٌ يَأْكُلُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْبَقَرُ بِأَلْسِنَتِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

[AI] I had a need from Abu Sa'd, and Umar ibn Sa'd had a need from his father, so before stating his need he put forward some talk of the sort people use to curry favor, something he had not been accustomed to hear from him. When he finished, he said, "My son, have you finished your talk?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Never have you been farther from getting your need, and never have I been more disinterested in you than since I heard this talk of yours. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There will be people who eat with their tongues just as cattle eat from the ground.""

أحمد:١٥١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ كُنْتُ أُسَمِّيهِ فَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ. قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَتْ لِي حَاجَةٌ إِلَى أَبِيسَعْدٍ، وَكَانَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ إِلَى أَبِيهِ حَاجَةٌ، فَقَدَّمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَتِهِ كَلامًا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ النَّاسُ يُوصِلُونَ، لَمْ يَكُنْ يَسْمَعُهُ. فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ، قَالَ: يَا بُنَيَّ، قَدْ فَرَغْتَ مِنْ كَلامِكَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: مَا كُنْتَ مِنْ حَاجَتِكَ أَبْعَدَ، وَلا كُنْتُ فِيكَ أَزْهَدَ مِنِّي مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ كَلامَكَ هَذَا. سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «سَيَكُونُ قَوْمٌ يَأْكُلُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْبَقَرَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ».
