[Machine] Al-Abbas al-Asamm informed ar-Rabi' that ash-Shafi'i informed Malik and Abu Ahmad al-Muharjani informed Abu Bakr ibn Ja'far and Muhammad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us from Ibn Bukayr from Malik, from Hisham, from his father, from Aisha that the Messenger of Allah mentioned Safiyyah bint Huyayy. It was said, "She has menstruated." So the Messenger of Allah said, "Perhaps she has held us back." It was said, "No, she has finished." He said, "Then she may proceed." Malik said, Hisham said, 'Urwa said Aisha said, "And we used to mention that, so why did people not send their women ahead if it did not benefit them? And if what he says is true, then the number of menstruating women in Mina would exceed six thousand, all of whom have finished menstruating."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from A'isha umm al-muminin that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Safiyya bint Huyy and he was told that she had started her period. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perhaps she will delay us." They said, "Messenger of Allah, she has done tawaf," and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then she will not delay us." Malik said that Hisham said that Urwa said that A'isha said, "We have publicized that, so why do people make their women stay on to their inconvenience? If it were as they say, more than six thousand menstruating women would still be in Mina in the morning, all of them having already done the tawaf al- ifada.' "
